Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor, o A2 como la llaman los locales, es el hogar de la Universidad de Michigan y sus famosos equipos deportivos. Pero en junio, terminan las clases y llega el verano, junto con festivales de verano, ferias gastronómicas, mercados de agricultores y cenas al aire libre. Ann Arbor tiene una inclinación artística y un centro muy atractivo y amigable para los peatones, con tiendas únicas, cocina internacional y cafés al aire libre.

Ann Arbor mantiene su apodo de "Treetown" (pueblo de árboles) por estar densamente arbolada: la ciudad contiene más de 50,000 árboles a lo largo de sus calles y otros 50,000 árboles en sus parques. La ciudad tiene 157 parques municipales que van desde pequeños espacios verdes en el vecindario hasta áreas naturales, complejos deportivos, senderos para bicicletas, el parque Huron River, un arboreto y grandes áreas de recreación. En resumen, Ann Arbor se toma en serio un estilo de vida activo y al aire libre.

La Ruta

La escénica ruta comienza en la pista de hielo de Ann Arbor, The Ice Cube, o como lo llaman los locales, A2Ice3.

Saldrán del Ice Cube en dirección oeste y sur para llegar al circuito de 35 millas. Explorarás las carreteras rurales de Michigan. Podrás ver arroyos, ríos y lagos. Pasarás por el ''Sharonville State Wildlife Management Area'' y por pequeños pueblos como Manchester y Bridgewater. Podrás ver las tierras agrícolas locales y ver los cultivos. Podrás disfrutar de las carreteras de poco tráfico, escénicas y ligeramente onduladas.

Los atletas de la ruta larga harán el circuito dos veces mientras que los atletas de la ruta media lo harán una vez. Al final del circuito, seguirás la misma ruta hacia el norte y el este para regresar al Ice Cube.

Al terminar en el Ice Cube, recibirás tu medalla, foto de finisher, comida después de la carrera y ¡participarás en las festividades post-carrera!

 

LA RUTA LARGA ES UNA COMPETICIÓN: Solo los finalistas de la ruta larga son elegibles para clasificaciones de categoría y premios generales y de podio. Si deseas competir y ser clasificado en tu categoría, debes completar la ruta larga . El Top 10% de los finalistas en cada grupo de edad ganan un lugar en el Qualifier Corral en cada evento de GFNY World.

LA RUTA MEDIA NO ES UNA COMPETICIÓN: Los corredores de la ruta media recibirán su tiempo de inicio a fin, pero no se clasificarán según el tiempo de llegada. Todos los tiempos de llegada se enumerarán en orden alfabético.

Beneficios incluidos como parte de GFNY Ann Arbor

EL JERSEY: Todos los corredores reciben un jersey oficial de GFNY Ann Arbor, que es vestimenta obligatoria en la carrera. El jersey está diseñado en Nueva York y fabricado en Italia.

TIEMPO DE CHIP: GFNY Ann Arbor es una carrera cronometrada. Cada atleta tiene su propio chip de cronometraje, que comienza justo después de cruzar la línea de inicio y se detiene cuando cruza la línea de meta. Los resultados de cronometraje estarán disponibles en gfny.cc/results.

MEDALLA DE FINALISTA: Cada finalista de GFNY Ann Arbor recibe una medalla, sin importar la distancia que hayan completado.
